1) OUR GUEST SPEAKERS FOR SUNDAY  JULY 1, 2012 :

a) Brigadier General Ravi Palsokar, (Retd. Indian Army):  He writes on matters related to Indian security, both internal and external and geo-strategic / geo-political issues relating to India-China and India-AfPak and Sri Lanka regions.  ( 9 AM Boston Time)

b) Brigadier General  ( Retd, Pakistan Army) Asif Haroon Raja: He is one of the contributors of Opinion Maker, an online from Pakistan.He will speak from Islamabad, Pakistan on Indo-Pak security issues . The Himalayan Voice has also published one of his articles on July 8, 2010 ( 11 AM Boston Time)

 

2) OUR GUEST SPEAKERS FOR SUNDAY  JULY 8, 2012 :  

a) Dr. Jekanthan Thangavelautham : He will speak on socio-political issues of Sri lanka.  He is a Postdoctoral Associate &  Associate Director of Communications,  Field and Space Robotics Laboratory, Department of Mechanical Engineering,Massachusetts Institute of Technology [MIT],

 

b) Shiv Om Rana PhD :  A retired Colonel of Indian Army, Dr. Rana will speak on "'The Chronic Ills of Indian Politics' from New Delhi, India ( Boston Time 9 : 00 AM)

3) OUR GUEST SPEAKERS FOR SUNDAY  JULY 15, 2012 : 

a) Dr. Bal Gopal Shrestha : University of Oxford (Oxford University), Institute of Social and Cultural Anthropology (ISCA) .

Dr. Shrestha will speak on the issues related to federalism, Constituent Assembly dissolution, identity  and language rights. Besides, as the president of World Newah Organisation he will  also talk on Newar Movement, trilingual policy, Khas and Nepali language issue, etc.

b) Dr. Harsha Ratna Shakya : Dr. Shakya will speak on Nepal's current political crisis from Kathmandu.  Field and Space

 

4) OUR GUEST SPEAKERS FOR SUNDAY  JULY 22, 2012 : 

 

a) Sankara Narayanan : He will speak  from New Delhi on  contemporary politics of India . 

b) Palash Biswas : He will speak  from  Kolkata on  contemporary politics of India . He is a writer, journalist as well as social activist  also. 

5) OUR GUEST SPEAKER FOR  AUGUST 1, 2012 : ( Special programme)

a)   Prof. Kailash Chandra Dash: @ 11 AM  US Eastern Time on Wednesday August 1,16, 2012 on 'Revisitng Buddha's Kapilvastu'

 

5) OUR GUEST SPEAKER FOR  SUNDAY AUGUST  26, 2012 

a) Russ Gilson from Planet Voice, United Kingdom. He will speak on the Impacts of Climate Change on the Himalayan Sub-Groups.  (The topic may slightly change.)
