Rarely have I been this angry. There have been articles, comments and counter-comments on this blog, which have brought in different points of view. While I myself have written some of the articles, I have otherwise stayed away from making comments, letting the discussion flow. This time however, I am incensed. Not only by the brutality of the Isreali action, but by the foot dragging by the US and the UK in condemning the act in the strongest possible terms. I urge all self respecting human beings to protest in the most effective way possible. No longer can we stand on the sidelines. Force your nation, force your government to say "ENOUGH". Enough killing of innocents. Enough denial of rights. Enough occupation. Enough lies.
It is now or never Barack Obama, that you must stand up against the zionist lobby in your own country. It is now or never David Cameron, that you must stand up to the United States. For if you fail now, you will be tried by your own people, by the citizens of the world and by history.

Rahnuma Ahmed: Both myths—America was attacked because they hate our freedom, Jews existed as a people separate from their religion—have been artfully spun. Both are unable to withstand scrutiny.

Giedre Steikunaite: A photograph's story is not only the one told in the image. Who took a picture, and why, also matters. Now who takes pictures of the developing world, and why?

Jeevani Fernando: The kindness people show others, in any dimension, makes such a difference to an individual, a family. Never should one shy from going that extra mile, lending a hand or seeing to the comfort of another, to a strange mother with three children who believed in miracles.

Smita Barooah Sanyal: Women at Work: The series on women started unconsciously. I was initially drawn to the colours and silhouettes of the women I saw working in the fields, in the construction sites and around their homes. Gradually, that became a more defined interest and I systematically went out looking for 'women at work'.
