Why does everyone in Kashmir wish to be linked with RSS Headquarter?
Palash Biswas
As it seems to be the trend in Tamilnadu,Punjab and all over the Northeast,Kashmir is radically opting to be linked with the ruling hegemony in the centre!
Farooq Abdullah and late Mufti had been doing this lifelong.
But keeping in mind the Kashmir Valley which rejected RSS, keeping in mind the fact that Kashmir is the only Muslim majority,it is hard to believe that everyone engaged in politics from Kashmir is doing his best to become the ally of the RSS Hegemony which wants a Hindu Globe and that too,Hail Hitler seems to rise from the dust to capture the Global Order declaring complete shutter down for the Muslims.
Ground zero reality tells the different story. As in Punjab and everywhere in the North East, everywhere in the South India,Cow Belt and the Adivasi geography, politics has nothing to do with the day to day survival challenges of the masses.Politics has nothing to do with political correctness.Plitics has nothing to do with democracy, civic and humanrights. It is political equation all the way to share the creamy Power spinning money abundant.
Hence,no wonder, every politician in Kashmir seems to woo RSS headquarter.
No word yet from the PDP-BJP combine on government formation in Jammu and Kashmir but former Chief Minister and National Conference (NC) chief Dr Farooq Abdullah has added new flavour saying NC doors are open for the BJP.
Thus,New twist in J&K as stalemate drags on; Farooq Abdullah says NC open to alliance with BJP!As President of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir Sardar Muhammad Yaqub Khan has extended invitations to both separatists and pro-India leaders to attend a two-day round table conference to discuss issues related to Kashmir in Pakistani capital Islamabad.
That too! While,Hurriyat (G) on Saturday decided to boycott the proposed conference on Kashmir called by the president of Pakistan-administered Kashmir in which some pro-India politcians have also been invited.
Not only this!Note it as folows:
Rejecting the "integral part" statement of External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Vikas Swarup about Jammu & Kashmir, Hurriyat (G) termed the statement as 'ridiculous and misleading.'
Hurriyat (G) said the entire Jammu & Kashmir is a disputed territory which is waiting for its final resolution since last seven decades. "Kashmir issue is internationally acknowledged dispute and the whole world is witness to this historic fact that how India under landed its troops in Jammu and Kashmir on 27 October 1947," Hurriyat (G) spokesperson said in a statement issued.
Hurriyat (G) spokesman said the rulers from Lal Chowk, Srinagar to the Parliament of India and UNO have openly accepted the disputed nature of Kashmir and made promises to the people of Jammu & Kashmir that they will be given a free and fair chance to decide their future but now this country is backtracking from its promises and is using the entire state machinery to 'crush the peaceful and genuine voices of the Kashmiri people.'
Terming the statement of the External Affairs Ministry spokesman as far from the historical facts, the Hurriyat Conference (G) said, "We can't change the facts and realities just by closing our eyes or by restoring to false propagandas. If anybody thinks so, he is living into the fool's paradise."
Hurriyat (G) said Jammu & Kashmir is not any border dispute between India and Pakistan but it is the issue of the future of 15 million human beings living there and they are the only authority to decide on this issue. Hurriyat (G) further said India and its policy makers should bear this thing in mind that the people of Jammu & Kashmir have 'never accepted the control of India over Kashmir and they are fighting for the right to self determination for which Kashmiris have given tremendous sacrifices so far.'
Hurriyat (G) spokesperson further said Kashmiri people are struggling for their just and genuine demands and 'no power in the world can stop them in achieving that goal.'
Mind you,the invitation for the January 20-21 Round Table Conference has been issued by Sardar Muhammed Yaqoob Khan, president of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
A similar conference was held in Muzaffarabad, capital of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, in 2008.
That meeting was attended, among others, by Tarigami, former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah, PDP leader Moulvi Ifthikar Ansari and Independent MLA Hakeem Yasin.
Those invited include all constituents of the separatist Hurriyat Conference, civil society members and legislators Mohammed Yousuf Tarigami (CPI-M) and Engineer Rashid (Independent) -- the latter said he will take part.
A spokesman for Rashid, who heads the Awami Ittehad Party, said he would leave for Pakistan on Saturday. His party is not recognised by the Election Commission.
Just lok at these statements!
he spokesman said: "Kashmiris being the principal party to the dispute and victims of the conflict should not waste any opportunity to put forward their viewpoint before India, Pakistan or the world community."
While in Islamabad, Rashid will meet various political groups and different sections of the society over various aspects of the 68-year-old Kashmir problem, said the spokesman.
"The members in the meeting (held at Hyderpora under the chair of Agha Hassan Al-Safvi Al-Mosvi) unanimously ruled out the participation of Hurriyat Conference in the said conference in Pakistan in which the pro-Indian politicians are also among the invitees," said a statement issued here by the amalgam.
"At the end of the meeting, the advisory council members of Hurriyat Conference informed Geelani Sahab about the said meeting after which chairman Hurriyat in his response said that the invitation to the pro-Indian politicians by the responsible heads of the Base Camp of our freedom movement (Azad Kashmir) is very unfortunate and sorrowful."
Geelani, the statement said, rued that the pro-Indian politicians are always finding reasons to "blackmail our freedom struggle and befool the common people of Kashmir."
"Geelani sahab said that the pro-Indian political parties or the politicians are equally responsible for the crimes, atrocities and the oppression committed by the Indian occupational forces upon the unarmed and innocent people of occupied Kashmir," the statement added.
He said that the "responsible rulers of the Base Camp of our freedom struggle should not invite the pro-Indian politicians in their conferences."
"Geelani Sahab reminded that in the recent past, the Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference (CPC) was cancelled in Pakistan when the authorities there refused to invite the Assembly Speaker of this occupied Kashmir in the said conference so there is no justification with the Azad Kashmir President for inviting the pro-Indian politicians in the Kashmir conference.
"Geelani Sahab also ordered to issue Show Cause Notice against those constituents of the amalgam about whom the reports are coming that they have cooperated in the holding of such a conference without informing the Hurriyat Conference," added the statement.
We perhaps might not guess how pained should be the most glamourous lady in Indian politics,J Jailalitha as she has created almost a record that Pongal would be celebrated without traditional Jalikattu beraking away from the legacy of almost two thousand years as Beef ban has been extended down to Non Aryan Dravidnadu!United on this issue, the whole politics of Tamilnadu including DMK,AIDMK,PMK and so one dares not to break the chain.
Yes,it is the phenomenon in which we often witness regional leaders from Andhra,Karnatak,Orissa,Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, from Chandra Babu Naidu to Mulayam and Mayawati to eat their own words and every revolt is translated in complete surrender.
Thus,Akali Politics is completely detahced with the plight of the Sikhs generation after generation. It is funy that every generation in Punjab has to be represented by CM Prakash Singh Badal which has to bear the timeless injuries of the Sikh heart and mind screaming for justice and denied time and again.
PDP and BJP had entered into post poll alliance to form the coalition government headed by Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. Sayeed died in New Delhi on 7 January.
Sayeed's daugher Mehbooba Mufti has not broken her silence after her father's death and party insiders have stuck to the same line for days after the mourning period wound down: "She is not in a proper frame of mind."
"It is not that we have shut our doors,'' Farooq told reporters in Katra.
Abdullah did not strike an aggressive tone, though. Instead, he took the high ground saying the status quo of stalemate in the state is not helping matters.
"What is the purpose of such friendship,'' Abdullah said referring to the PDP-BJP alliance not coming to a swift decision.
Although the PDP did break its silence, not much has happened as the state slid into Governor's rule. Last week, PDP said it will go ahead and form the Jammu and Kashmir government with its alliance partner BJP after Mehbooba Mufti comes out of mourning and is ready to take on her father's role as Chief Minister.
"We will be operating within the framework already formulated by the PDP under Mufti Mohammed Sayeed and the BJP," PDP spokesperson Mehboob Baig told The Indian Express.
Baig said that there are neither party has set any pre-conditions. "Everything has been sorted out," he said putting to rest speculation that anything other than the customary mourning period for the late Mufti Sayeed is the reason behind delay in the decision.
With this, the Congress seemed to be ruled out as an option. There was a burst of speculation after Congress chief Sonia Gandhi met Mehbooba at her Srinagar residence.
"The state is still in mourning. Mehboobaji is still in a state of shock and the government would be formed once she is out of mourning," Baig said.
